The Realtime Calendar allows you to publicly display your branch's availability in real time, through a dedicated browser-accessible URL.

What is the Realtime Calendar

It's a public web page showing your venue status (opening, closing, bookings) in calendar format, with real-time updates. Customers can see availability without registering or having the app.

Configuration

  1. Go to Branches → [Branch Name] → Settings
  2. Configure the calendar fields:

Calendar Access

The unique public URL is based on the webkey_calendar:

https://yoursite.com/realtime-calendar-bookings/abc123def456

Tip: Like with the web form, you can create a custom short URL (e.g., yourbrand.it/calendar) that redirects to the complete URL.

Protecting the Calendar

If you want to limit access to staff or trusted customers:

  1. Set a password in the calendar_password field
  2. When a user opens the URL, the system will ask for the password
  3. After verification, they can view the calendar

Warning: The password is shared among all authorized users (there are no individual accounts).

Time Intervals

The interval defines the display granularity:

Maintenance Status

You can disable the calendar for a single branch without affecting the rest of the system:

  1. Go to Settings → Maintenance → Realtime Calendar
  2. Activate maintenance mode
  3. Enter the message
  4. Save

Users will see the maintenance page instead of the calendar.

Realtime Updates

The calendar updates in real time:

  • If an operator confirms or cancels a booking from the app, the calendar reflects it immediately
  • All connected users see the same updated status
  • No need to reload the page

Use Cases

Restaurant

Shows available seats for time slots (e.g., lunch 12-14, dinner 19-22) with "Full" or "Seats available" indication.

Barber/Beautician

Shows booked and available time slots for each operator/service.

Gym/Classes

Displays room or seat occupancy for classes.

Beauty Center

Shows different service type availability across various days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can see the calendar?

Anyone with the URL. If you've set a password, only those who have it.

Does the calendar show cancelled bookings?

No. Only active (confirmed) bookings are visible. Rejected or cancelled bookings don't appear.

Does the calendar work without the app?

Yes. It's completely independent from the mobile app. You can use it even if the app is not active.
